Guo Lang Er Jin Pai · Playing Against Myself

Into the mood: spread open a wind-shaken splendour, hold the breath and tap down a stone — not easily taken. There is delight in it, waiting to break the rules. All my life a long grievance, east and west, that would have Heaven gather every affair into one.
Overturning: shifting and changing without constancy — from the first, one's own nature is hard to refuse. Borneol rouses the spirit; inside the game, an illusory scene; I lay the plans and set the order out. What was neglected in old days, the far days, come round again; a new waking, quiet and unbroken, follows the welcome rain.
Glosses—
飐 [zhǎn]: to shake and tremble in the wind;
Borneol: also called dragon's-brain incense, or bingpian;
New waking: having just woken from sleep, or a fresh understanding;
Quiet and unbroken: having the look of stillness;
The welcome rain: rain that falls just when the crops most need water.
