Sha Sai Zi · Converging

On all four quarters an empty, sunken cold green; mist blows across the tent, and the Dragon Sands draw near. Have I trudged all these years, with no other?
I lift a cup of libation, clear as snow, slip through the caves and crevices, praise the gorge at its end. Bending wind and thunder to my carriage, I wind through the peril and turn it into the world's far edge.
Glosses—
Dragon Sands: broadly, the sandy desert country beyond the frontier;
Trudging: the hard labour of journeying back and forth;
Wind and thunder: fierce wind and violent thunder.
