Ten thousand layers of cloud-wall break the immortals' gate; the final kalpa arrives. The unbroken rope-way twists through the traces of moss, breathing out a dark dusk.
Vast and faint, the pine-surf fierce; a startled swan opens up the lost ford. The sword's light sweeps all before it and turns the wheel back. Turns the wheel back—the wind's sleeve gathers up the broken soul.
Glosses—
Final kalpa: a Buddhist term. It means the kalpa of the last dharma, one kalpa to a thousand years;
Jiong jue: as good as saying unbroken; having the look of never ceasing.
