Welcome to the Realm of Light. I’m Shixi Lin, its keeper. Here I share what I learn and experience in personal growth, spiritual practice, and digital civilization.
I write poetry and fiction, develop AI products, games, and apps, and continue to build businesses.
From ancient thought to emerging technologies, I’m interested in how they find their way into everyday life.
A wandering knight-errant, a Zen practitioner drawn to the aesthetics of violence, aspiring to become a cosmic observer for the guru: this is how I describe my path as a spiritual practitioner in the everyday world.
I’ve traveled solo through roughly half of China and more than thirty countries, discovering the world through different cultures, beliefs, and everyday lives. I’m still on the road.
Travel, study, and many firsthand experiences that felt extraordinary to me gradually led me to theosophy and esotericism.
I love hanfu and hope to bring more people closer to Chinese culture through traditional dress and performance, and contribute to the revival of Huaxia civilization.
I am also an avid collector of instrumental music, and I enjoy writing in my spare time. Music and words are part of my everyday life.
My current creative and technical work spans game production, app development, drawing and design, video editing, voice work and composition, writing and translation, research, and environment setup and deployment.
I’m an online writer of classical Chinese ci poetry, modern verse, fiction, lyrics, and essays on digital civilization. I’ve written hundreds of original lyrics and classical poems, and continue to write.
My works include the ci poetry collection A Mortal Life, Born of One Thought, the empress-centered novel In Heaven’s Stead, and the modern poetry collection Still Untitled.
I create AI Agent Intelligence Daily, Mohe, Yunjian, and Prism Desk, exploring information curation, local AI companionship, cloud divination, and AI task handoff.
I build AI agents myself, exploring humanlike personas and ways of interacting.
I also call myself an “AI alchemist”: turning data, knowledge, and experience into capabilities AI can use.
I’m developing two desktop games for Steam: Baishishu explores relationships and choices across lifetimes; Ink Duel: Hundred Arms explores Chinese martial arts and weapon-based combat.

I advocate for Web3, Web4, and blockchain technology. I’m also a digital nomad within digital civilization, a serial founder, and a bona fide export trader.
My work spans international trade, investment, and business incubation. I’ve been exploring blockchain since 2016, and building in AI, Web3, and Web4.
Psychology and hypnotherapy are areas of ongoing study and practice, deepening my interest in people’s inner lives, relationships, and behavior.
Earlier in my career, I spent nearly seven years working in the psychology field and three years participating in Hellinger family constellation workshops.
If I heard the Way in the morning, I could die content that evening.
I am a wayfarer in this world, committed to spiritual practice. I seek the puzzle pieces scattered across civilizations, hoping to piece together a picture of the most ancient source and return to truth, original nature, and innate knowing.
My long-standing research spans Theosophy, esotericism, and Eastern and Western spiritual traditions. I also explore questions such as duality, seeking to bring what I learn together and weave spiritual practice into daily life.
I have not joined any religion, because I believe spirituality is free and all is one at its source.
My studies encompass Daoist philosophy, Confucianism, Wang Yangming’s philosophy of mind, and Wang Fengyi’s ideas on traditional culture.
In Buddhism, I’ve studied Chan, Yogācāra, Pure Land, and esoteric traditions.
I also study the Yijing, the Five Phases and Eight Trigrams, Zhuyou (祝由术), and the folk spiritual traditions of northeastern China.
I also study Agrippa, Hermetic thought, Solomonic traditions, tarot, and Norse runes, continuing to learn across different systems.
I’ve also studied ancient Egyptian magic and Indian Ayurveda, with some exploration of ancient Zoroastrianism.
My research also extends to interstellar themes, including Orion, Cygnus, Sirius, Arcturus, and the Pleiades.
It brings together numbers, traditions, and personal experience.
Eleven brings to mind the eleven-dimensional spacetime proposed by M-theory and the symbolism of this number in Western magical traditions. It also marks the day of the month on which I was born. The Chinese characters 十一 take three strokes to write, and three is my lucky number.
Ten brings to mind the sequence from one to ten. I also see the shape of 十 in the cross and in the cross associated with Lazarus, and think of the palms-together gesture in Indian Ayurvedic tradition.
I draw on its imagery of earth, water, fire, air, and space, and of left and right, yin and yang coming together, to express a wish to let go of fear and self-imposed constraints, remain humble and joyful, and feel gratitude toward a greater, shared consciousness.
One recalls the Daoist words: the Dao gives birth to one, one to two, two to three, and three to all things; all return to the Dao.
Whatever I experience, I hope to remain simple and sincere, bring knowledge and action together, understand the world without becoming cynical, and remember my commitment to spiritual practice. Even when circumstances leave little choice, I hope to return to an upright path, clear within and without.
Light is how I understand the source, and a reminder to keep challenging myself as time slips by. Even when nine things go wrong, I want to notice the one thing that goes right and let it cast light on the rest. I want to be light myself, and bring light to others.
In my personal symbolism, light embraces everything: every color, including black. Black can mean the quiet strength and resolve of obsidian.
I hope to guide others naturally toward spiritual awakening and ascension, helping them move beyond the confines of dualistic thinking and opposition and embark on a journey of free will.
