Jin Cuo Dao · Looking Ahead

The debts of the human world drown in dust and sand; where the currents join in the void and the ocean there is nothing else. Travelers at the sky's edge scatter at the sky's edge; affinities go, affinities come, and gather into clear sight.
The blade goes into the sheath, the dream puts out flowers; the roving dragon, keen and fierce, shakes out the cinnabar clouds. The last cold is not yet over, but the heart runs hot; it nurses the spring light and brings the sun's glory forth.
Glosses—
Void and ocean: a Buddhist term, emptiness and the great sea;
The last cold: the chill that lingers after Great Cold, before the warmth returns.
