Settled into an ordinary fate, I wake to find the sea of desire hanging, a hollow void. Impermanent, beginningless, the nature of unknowing. Brahma-mantras in golden light scatter a dream of mermaid pearls.

Old thoughts, drifting affinities, an inch of heart is all that is left; as chance directs, the asura hosts pass into extinction. Karmic fire spreads to the borderless edge and melts the dusty realm. I petition for the god's might, to capture the other side of yin and yang.

Glosses—

Old thoughts [sunian]: notions long held.
