Blocking the road, the storyteller smiles his fawning smile at the Buddha; sea and sky in chaos temper an asura. Ten thousand folded ravines of swords race with the lightning; spring-water and fire in the blind dark, and the white goose is quick.
The great dream of a thousand years is fit to bear the weight; the fragrance ruined across the ground is left to come to nothing. Old memories of former births — push the window open, clear; a broken mirror is hard to make whole, and there is so much that cannot be helped.
