· The Sky Clears

I lift the oar and slap the white waves; unhurried, the birds of passage move on. A boat like a single leaf draws near . The clear-day haze shivers in the first cold.

Glosses—
Zhào: an implement for rowing a boat;
Piān zhōu: a small boat;
Clear-day haze: the mist in the mountains on a fine day.
