Qing Se Ru Qing Shan · Going or Staying · Illustration

Cloud and water never meet; I set down the karma of this life. Sitting in meditation through ten thousand autumns, my breath, transformed, blows the blossoms down.

The has nothing to do with me; the fire in my heart dies down. Now and then the sun breaks through in glory — and from the high mountain, a single shout.

Glosses—

Qíng Sè Rù Qīng Shān: the name of a ci tune, also called 'Sheng Zha Zi';
yīng: blossom, flower;
shout (hè): to cry out loudly.
