They Say the Wind Blew Last Night

They Say the Wind Blew Last Night · Illustration

It was a day with nothing to doa cool wind crossed the border and provoked the heatwavea duel between the young stubborn one and the old stubborn oneeach disdaining the other, snatching back and forthstrangers one round, old friends the next, on and on and on

They say, at that moment last nightthe fire-clouds stumbled in, still in timeno square, no circle, no sense of proprietysoftening, melting into the tender land of the cloudsdazzling and proud, wild and unrestrainedgiving light, giving brightness, giving heatburn then, every radiance of this world

The fool, equipped with keyboard and mouseentrusted a whole lifetime of the soulplugged into the networkpassing freely through countless dimensionscreating beautiful dreams alongside reality's rising fervor

Perhapsone tires of this and that, the square and the roundand seeks a new love, new words, new scenes, new meaningshands them all to a gust of windand another gustgust after gustonly—there is no need to erase the past

Who the hell knows if there will be wind tomorrowa breeze or a hurricanejust step aside a little
